G. “The gift OF GOD is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” This gift is from God, who loved us so much that He sent Jesus, the only one qualified to be our Savior, and because He had lived and died without sin.
H. “The gift of God is ETERNAL LIFE in Christ Jesus our Lord.” The gift Jesus offers to each of us is Eternal Life.
I. “The gift of God is eternal life in CHRIST JESUS our Lord.” Jesus suffered the penalty of death in our place. He died so you could live. The debt we could not pay, He paid for us. “That if you CONFESS with your mouth, Jesus is Lord” (Romans 10:9).
J. There are two steps we must take to receive God’s gift of eternal life. The first step is to “confess” or repent of your sins. Repentance means to be sorry for your sins, and to be willing to ask God’s forgiveness, and, with God’s help, to turn away from sinful ways.
K. “....and BELIEVE in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved” (Romans 10:9). The second step is to “believe” or to have “faith” in Christ. Believing means putting all your trust for eternal life and forgiveness from sins in Christ Jesus alone! Repentance and believing are the two human conditions every person must take to become a child of God.
“…no one comes to the Father except through Me” (John 14:6b). Jesus Christ is the only bridge to eternal life – not works, not keeping the Ten Commandments, not going to church, not being baptized, but trusting Christ alone for salvation from sin!
Have you received Christ as your personal Savior?
NOT RELIGION................BUT RELATIONSHIP Here’s how you can receive Christ as your Savior. Just sincerely pray this prayer.
“Lord Jesus, I know I have sinned and I am sorry. I truly repent of my sins and ask you to forgive me. I believe you died for my sins. I confess my sins to you and just now open my heart and receive you into my life as my personal Savior. Thank you for answering my prayer! In Christ’s name I pray, Amen.”
